Small Reciprocating Air Compressors

When you select an Ingersoll-Rand reciprocating air compressor, you’ve selected a compressor that is world renowned for its quality and reliability. Engineered for high-performance, reliability and efficiency, Ingersoll-Rand reciprocating compressors provide easy operation and low maintenance.

Single-Stage and Two-Stage Air Compressors

Single-Stage:

Single-stage models compress air to a final pressure in one stroke. They generally are used for pressures up to 11 bar.

Ingersoll-Rand Single-Stage Design

  • Belt wheel provides reliable design and cooler operation.

  • Durable cast-iron cylinders, are designed for extended pump life. Offers high thermal stability and increased durability.

  • Extended service intervals – when IR synthetic lubricant is used it provides 2,000-hour oil change intervals (four times longer than mineral based lubricants).

  • Manual thermal overload protection of the motor. No starter required.

  • Full skirt piston with rings. More robust and offers better sealing.

Two-Stage:

A two-stage model (1) compresses air to an intermediate pressure in the first stage, (2) removes heat of compression through an intercooler, and (3) compresses air to a final pressure in a second compression stage. Two-stage compressors are more efficient and are generally used for pressures above 11 Bar (maximum pressure to 14 Bar).
